An experienced entrepreneur, angel investor and strategic advisor, Mac helps socially responsible stakeholders in rapidly growing, highly regulated industries to innovate and navigate evolving challenges with confidence. Mac’s experience ranges from:

  • incubating pioneering business models and public/private partnerships in higher education and health & human sciences, to 

  • investing thematically in innovative companies spanning consumer products, software, education, and tech-enabled services industries, to

  • advising founders, chief executives and boards of global private and public companies and tax-exempt organizations on capital raising and strategic initiatives

Currently serving as the CEO of TJC and Managing Partner of ARCJOY, Mac previously co-founded Arist Education System, a pioneering health sciences education company based out of Littleton, CO.  Prior to Arist, Mac established the Denver office for University Ventures, a New York-based venture capital fund exclusively focused on global higher education.   Before University Ventures, Mac cut his principal investing teeth in software at JMI Equity and IT / business services at Citi Venture Capital International.  His earlier experience included investment banking and sales and trading at Jefferies & Co. and Goldman Sachs, respectively. 

In addition to his operational and investing activities, Mac is a guest lecturer and speaker on various topics including ROI-based education, values-based leadership, social impact investing, and bootstrapped entrepreneurship.  Mac holds a Bachelor of Science in Management with concentrations in Finance and Accounting from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College and Master of Business Administration in Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
